Creates a signature curing process for initiative and referendum petitions when a county clerk declares a signature invalid due to mismatch with the statewide voter registration database

Requires county clerks to notify individuals within two business days of an invalid signature determination via phone, mail, email, or text message, and provide a copy of the required affidavit

Individuals must submit a signed affidavit attesting to the validity of their petition signature within 31 calendar days of the county clerk receiving the petition packet

Affidavit must include attestation of signing, contact information, and an option to indicate a qualifying disability under the ADA that affects consistent signature ability

Takes effect May 6, 2026, and applies only to manual initiative and referendum petition processes
