Department of Health and Human Services required to coordinate research and education efforts on uterine fibroids, including diagnosis rates, treatment ages, hysterectomy frequency, and availability of non-hysterectomy treatment options

Department may partner with medical research organizations (universities, research institutions, healthcare facilities with IRB approval) and share identifiable health data for research purposes

Education efforts must target both healthcare providers and patients on non-hysterectomy treatment alternatives and reproductive health impacts of uterine fibroids

Department must report to the Health and Human Services Interim Committee by November 1, 2028 and November 1, 2029, including findings, comparisons, and policy recommendations

Bill takes effect May 6, 2026 and includes a sunset repeal date of July 1, 2030; no money appropriated
