Senators are limited to 10 requests for legislation, and representatives are limited to 6 requests for legislation per session.

Requests exempt from these limits include: legislation from authorized committee chairs, appropriations-only bills, bills that exclusively repeal existing statutes, and the revisor's statute.

Abandoned requests still count toward a legislator's limit.

The resolution amends Joint Rule JR4-2-101 and takes effect May 6, 2026.
