Department must study the geographic regions it has created, examining each region's composition, number, efficiency, and resource use, with report due November 1, 2026

Department must study the qualifications required for the executive director position, with findings due November 1, 2026

Transportation commissioners appointed after May 6, 2026 will serve four-year terms instead of the current six-year terms

Study provisions related to the Transportation Commission and executive director qualifications will be repealed January 1, 2027; bill takes effect May 6, 2026
