Extends the repeal date for Utah's State Weed Committee from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2036, allowing the committee to continue operating for an additional 10 years

The State Weed Committee is an eight-member body that advises on planning, implementation, and administration of the state noxious weed program

Committee members represent state agencies (Department of Agriculture and Food, Department of Natural Resources), Utah State University, Utah Association of Counties, private agricultural industry, and weed control associations

Members serve four-year staggered terms, receive no compensation but may receive per diem and travel expenses

The bill takes effect May 6, 2026 and was recommended by the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee with an 11-0 vote
