Department of Health and Human Services may establish a "recovery ready workplace" certification program in consultation with the Department of Workforce Services, allowing employers to become certified as supportive of employees with substance use disorders

Certification criteria may require employers to: prevent workplace factors contributing to substance use disorder, lower barriers to treatment, educate employees and supervisors, reduce stigma, make opiate antagonists available, and implement supportive policies for employees seeking treatment

Funding may come from the Electronic Cigarette Substance and Nicotine Product Proceeds Restricted Account, and the department may seek federal funding sources

Department receives rulemaking authority to implement the certification program
