Expands Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands authority to fund Jordan River improvement projects along the entire length of the river, removing the previous restriction to a specific "zone" between SR-201 and 5400 South

Requires the Division to consult with the Jordan River Commission before expending money on any improvement project, replacing the previous requirement to receive Commission approval

Creates a matching grant program for counties, municipalities, or the Jordan River Commission to fund projects that increase recreational access or improve public safety along the Jordan River, requiring recipients to provide at least equal matching funds

Appropriates $2,000,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2027 (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027) specifically for the Jordan River recreational access matching grants

Takes effect May 6, 2026
