Adds new charter school enrollment preference for students who reside within the boundaries of a political subdivision containing the charter school, when their school of residence is at capacity

Removes expired COVID-19 emergency provision that had given enrollment preference for the 2022-2023 school year to students who withdrew for online or home schooling during the pandemic

Retains existing enrollment preferences including children/grandchildren of school developers and board members, siblings of current/former students, children of employees, military children, and students within a two-mile radius of at-capacity schools

Effective date: July 1, 2026
