Increases the cap on direct financial assistance for displaced farms, nonprofit organizations, and businesses from $50,000 to $75,000 when government agencies acquire real property

Requires the Department of Transportation to adjust the assistance limit annually for inflation beginning July 1, 2027, using the Consumer Price Index as determined by the State Tax Commission

Mandates the Department of Transportation to calculate and publish the inflation-adjusted limit by January 30 each year and provide it to the Office of the Property Rights Ombudsman

Allows displaced persons from a business or farm to accept a fixed payment between $1,000 and $75,000 in lieu of other agency payments

Takes effect on May 6, 2026
