Health benefit plans must report autism coverage data annually to the Insurance Department by July 1, starting in 2027, including average wait times for assessments, number of diagnoses for enrollees under 18, and average hours and costs of applied behavior analysis treatment

The Insurance Department must compile autism coverage reports and present findings to the Health and Human Services Interim Committee by September 1 each year

Beginning September 1, 2027, the Insurance Department must publish on its website information identifying which health benefit plans reimburse mental health therapists (other than physicians or psychologists) for autism spectrum disorder treatment

Adds "mental health therapist" to statutory definitions for autism insurance coverage, referencing the definition in Section 58-60-102

The autism coverage reporting requirement sunsets on January 1, 2030, and the bill takes effect May 6, 2026
