Municipalities and counties are prohibited from enacting or enforcing ordinances that restrict golf course maintenance operations (mowing, trimming grass) between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

The restrictions apply to privately owned golf courses and government-owned golf courses located within municipal boundaries or unincorporated county areas.

Municipalities and counties retain authority to regulate maintenance hours at golf courses they own.

No money is appropriated in the bill.

Effective date is May 6, 2026.
