VA HB1037

Requires the Virginia Board of Education to make available instructional materials on climate change and environmental literacy based on peer-reviewed scientific sources to all local school boards

Directs the Board to develop and adopt model policies and procedures for selecting climate change and environmental literacy instructional materials

Mandates that selected materials accurately portray changes in weather and climate patterns over time, impacts of human activity on climate, and effects of climate change on people and resources

Adds new section 22.1-212.1:3 to the Code of Virginia establishing these requirements
