VA HB1188

Establishes the Virginia Boys and Men Advisory Commission as an 18-member legislative branch body with 10 legislative members (6 from House of Delegates, 4 from Senate) and 8 nonlegislative citizen members appointed by the Governor

Requires nonlegislative members to include an elementary/high school administrator, community college professional, licensed pediatrician, public safety expert, mental health specialist, and education/economic development representative

Directs the Commission to advise the General Assembly on issues affecting boys and men including education inequity, economic opportunities, health outcome disparities, family life, and social media impact

Mandates annual reports to the General Assembly and Governor, plus a special one-time report with up to three recommendations due by October 1, 2026

Contains a sunset provision expiring the Commission on July 1, 2029, and declares an emergency making the act effective immediately upon passage
