Emergency absentee ballot requests must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. the day before the election, with the completed ballot returned to the general registrar before polls close

Designated representatives who deliver emergency ballots must be 18 or older and cannot be elected officials, candidates, or their deputies, spouses, parents, or children

False statements on emergency ballot applications or representative certifications are subject to felony penalties under § 24.2-1016
