Amends Virginia Code § 22.1-304 regarding teacher employment contracts and reemployment procedures for public school teachers who have not yet achieved continuing contract status

Removes the requirement for school boards to provide written notice by June 15 when not renewing a continuing contract teacher; now only teachers must provide written notice of noncontinuation by June 15

Teachers who do not receive nonrenewal notice by June 15 are entitled to a contract for the following year with applicable local salary stipulations and increments

School boards must notify teachers subject to reduction in force within two weeks of budget approval but no later than July 1, and such reductions cannot be based solely on seniority but must consider performance evaluations
