Extends workers' compensation cancer presumption coverage to sheriffs and deputy sheriffs who have completed five years of service in their position

Covered cancers include leukemia and pancreatic, prostate, rectal, throat, ovarian, breast, colon, brain, testicular, bladder, and thyroid cancer

Cancer-related death or disability for covered personnel is presumed to be an occupational disease suffered in the line of duty, unless overcome by preponderance of evidence to the contrary

Sheriffs and deputy sheriffs would join other covered personnel including firefighters, hazardous materials officers, and certain State Police members who already have this cancer presumption

The presumption requires completion of a preemployment physical examination finding the individual free of cancer at the time of hire, if requested by the employer
