Permits Virginia high school students to substitute the African American History course or Advanced Placement African American Studies course for World History I or World Geography to satisfy history and social studies graduation credit requirements

Requires students making this substitution to pass a local alternative assessment or equivalent Board-approved assessment to fulfill graduation requirements

Limits the substitution option to students who have enrollment access to the African American History or AP African American Studies course at their school

Directs the Board of Education to amend regulations to implement the substitution policy and ensure students electing this option are not required to earn a verified credit in World History I or World Geography
