Removes the requirement that a student's score on a Standards of Learning (SOL) assessment must account for at least 10 percent of the student's final grade in courses for grades 7-12

Eliminates the provision that prevented a student's retake score from replacing their initial assessment score when calculating final course grades

Maintains all other existing SOL assessment requirements, including administration timelines, retake eligibility, and scoring on a 100-point scale

Includes a reenactment clause requiring the 2027 General Assembly session to approve the bill before it takes effect

Amends Virginia Code § 22.1-253.13:3, which governs school accreditation standards and student assessments, with an effective date of July 1, 2026
