Expands restrictions on convicted sex offenders to prohibit them from coming within 100 feet of playgrounds, athletic fields, facilities, or gymnasiums owned or operated by Park Authorities, effective July 1, 2026

Applies to adults convicted of offenses prohibiting proximity to children, including various crimes such as abduction, rape, carnal knowledge of a minor, indecent liberties with children, and child pornography offenses

Extends the same Park Authority restrictions to persons convicted of similar offenses under federal, foreign, or other state laws

Violation of these proximity restrictions is classified as a Class 6 felony

Estimated minimum fiscal impact of $50,000 for potential increased imprisonment in state adult correctional facilities
