Authorizes Virginia school boards to provide instruction on the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the United States Capitol, subject to specific content requirements

Prohibits describing or portraying the events as "peaceful protest" in any curriculum, instructional materials, or teacher instruction

Prohibits stating or suggesting that extensive election fraud could have changed or actually changed the results of the 2020 presidential election

Requires any instruction to describe January 6, 2021, as "an unprecedented, violent attack on United States democratic institutions, infrastructure, and representatives for the purpose of overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election"

Adds new section 22.1-202.2 to the Code of Virginia governing public school programs and courses of instruction
