Creates an exception to the standard class size limit of 35 students for grades four through six, allowing ensemble music classes in grade six to have up to 45 students

Amends Virginia's Standards of Quality (§ 22.1-253.13:2) governing instructional personnel ratios and class sizes in public schools

Applies to both the currently effective version of the law and the version taking effect July 1, 2026

Maintains all other existing class size limits: 29 students maximum for kindergarten, 30 for grades one through three, and 35 for grades four through six (except ensemble music)
