Adds a statutory definition of "agrivoltaics" to Virginia's small renewable energy projects law, defining it as the intentional co-location of agricultural production and solar energy generation on the same land

Requires agrivoltaic projects to prioritize and sustain agricultural productivity while integrating renewable energy generation, allowing ongoing production and sale of marketable agricultural products throughout the solar array's life

Mandates that agrivoltaic installations be part of a commercial farm business, include decommissioning provisions to protect agricultural resources, not significantly displace farming activity, and allow farmers flexibility to adapt to market conditions

Amends § 10.1-1197.5 of the Code of Virginia with provisions effective both currently and as of July 1, 2026
