Creates a Suicide Prevention Coordinator position within the Department of Veterans Services to coordinate mental health care services for military service members, veterans, and their families

Requires the State Registrar of Vital Records to report death certificates listing suicide as the manner of death for veterans and military service members to the Department of Veterans Services

Mandates the Suicide Prevention Coordinator compile and analyze veteran and military service member suicide data and include findings in the Department's annual report to the Governor and General Assembly

Directs collaboration with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to develop suicide prevention programs and resources specifically for veterans and military service members

Expands coordinator duties to include administering grants for local suicide prevention efforts, providing training to agencies, and increasing mental health and substance abuse screenings for veterans and their families
