Creates a State Government Internship Coordinator position within the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) to attract high-quality interns to state government service and develop them for future Commonwealth employment

Requires DHRM to establish professional development opportunities for state government interns, intern supervisors, and human resources staff

Mandates consultation with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership Authority to support, track, and promote state government internship opportunities

Directs DHRM to help government entities develop new and existing internship programs and educate supervisors on implementing successful programs
