Requires operators of short-term rental properties in Virginia to complete human trafficking awareness training developed or approved by the Department of Criminal Justice Services

Training must teach operators to recognize and report instances of suspected human trafficking, similar to existing requirements for hotel proprietors

Directs the Department of Criminal Justice Services to develop an online course or approve alternative online or in-person training courses for short-term rental operators

Amends § 9.1-102 of the Code of Virginia to expand the Department's duties to include developing training materials specifically for short-term rental operators alongside existing hotel proprietor training

Creates new section § 15.2-983.01 in the Code of Virginia establishing the human trafficking training requirement specifically for short-term rental properties
