Amends Virginia Code § 19.2-56 to clarify that when a search warrant affidavit has been temporarily sealed pursuant to § 19.2-54, a copy of that sealed affidavit shall not be given or left at the searched premises.

Requires law enforcement officers seeking to execute search warrants after 5:00 p.m. to document in their affidavit the specific circumstances requiring the after-hours warrant issuance.

Maintains existing requirements that search warrants for places of abode must be executed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. unless a judge or magistrate authorizes execution at another time for good cause.

Preserves the prohibition on no-knock search warrants and the requirement that officers provide a copy of the search warrant and affidavit to occupants or leave it at the premises when unoccupied.
