Requires all students in kindergarten through grade three to participate in a Department-approved mathematics screener, with diagnostic assessments for those showing need for further evaluation to identify deficits in numeracy and mathematical skills

Mandates mathematics improvement plans for K-3 students whose diagnostic assessments indicate need for accelerated interventions, including daily one-on-one instruction from certified teachers and quarterly written progress reports to parents

Continues algebra readiness intervention services for students in grades six through nine who are at risk of failing the Algebra I end-of-course test based on Department-approved diagnostic testing

Replaces the previous middle school teacher corps program with the new math-focused initiative targeting kindergarten through grade eight students
