Extends the deadline for voters to correct absentee ballot errors from the third day after the election to the Monday after the election

Removes the requirement that absentee ballots must be received by the Friday before election day to qualify for the cure process, allowing all returned absentee ballots to be eligible for correction

Requires general registrars to "promptly" notify voters of ballot errors rather than within the previous three-day notification window

Maintains that voters whose ballots have issues will be recorded in the voter registration system and included on absentee voter applicant lists

Takes effect September 1, 2026
