Directs the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to seek approvals to amend the Community Living and Family and Individual Supports 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services Waivers

Creates an option to compensate providers for assigning direct support professionals to assist waiver recipients in acute care hospital settings

Direct support professionals would provide communication assistance, behavior stabilization, and intensive personal care when these supports are outlined in the recipient's service plan and not otherwise provided by the hospital

Eligibility limited to waiver recipients age 18 or older who are admitted to acute care while receiving group home residential, sponsored residential, supported living residential, or in-home support services

Grants DMAS authority to amend any necessary regulations to implement these provisions
