Allows candidates and elected officials to use a P.O. box or voter registration ID number instead of their residence address on election filings, voter registration records, and public documents

Requires custodians of candidate filings to redact addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses from Freedom of Information Act requests unless the candidate provides written consent within five business days

Adds current and former elected officials to the list of individuals eligible for protected voter status, joining law enforcement officers, judges, foster parents, and election workers

Mandates that election certificates delivered to newly elected officials include notice of their eligibility for protected voter status and instructions for updating their registration

Takes effect January 1, 2027
