Commends Joseph P. Casey, Ph.D., on his retirement as Chesterfield County Administrator effective July 1, 2026, after a decade of service beginning in July 2016

During his tenure, Casey oversaw more than 4,000 full-time employees and a $2.4 billion operating budget while attracting $12 billion in capital investment and creating 10,200 new jobs

Chesterfield County became the first locality in Virginia to achieve a Quad-AAA bond rating under Casey's fiscal leadership

Casey managed construction of 13 new schools, three fire stations, and various library, park, and recreational facility improvements, along with adoption of a new zoning ordinance

The resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy for presentation to Dr. Casey as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration
