John Victor Mazza, Jr., longtime owner of Medallion Pools in Colonial Heights and distinguished aviator, died on October 25, 2025

Began working at Medallion Pools at age eight, joined full-time in 1974 after earning a bachelor's degree in business administration, and eventually assumed ownership while developing innovations in pool manufacturing

Served in leadership roles with the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals as president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer

Advanced aviation in Virginia through involvement with the Virginia Aviation Board, Capital Region Airport Commission, Virginia Transportation Safety Board, and multiple airport authorities; inducted into the Virginia Aviation Hall of Fame in 2015

The General Assembly directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy of this resolution to his family, including his wife of 55 years, Maria, and son Johnny III
