LOWLINC is a nonprofit organization in Orange County, Virginia, being commended for 10 years of helping older adults live independently in their homes in the Lake of the Woods community

Founded in early 2014 by Mary-Jane Atwater, Jeff Flynn, and Joe Sakole, the organization officially launched services in January 2016 as part of the Village to Village Network

Services include transportation, light home maintenance, errands, tech support, social visits, check-in calls, and referrals to other providers

In 2024, 210 volunteers served 168 members (ages 57-101), completing over 10,000 volunteer hours valued at $334,000

The organization has received multiple awards, including the 2024 Orange County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month and the 2018 Lawrence and Martha McMurtry Award for Excellence and Innovation in Community Health and Wellness
