Commends the Omicron Kappa Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on its 30th anniversary, having been chartered on December 14, 1996, with 11 founding members in the Reston and Herndon area of Fairfax County

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was established in 1911 at Howard University as the first international fraternal organization founded on the campus of a historically Black college or university

The chapter has conducted community programs including sweater and coat drives, mentoring programs, voter registration drives, Special Olympics support, youth robotics competitions, and blood drives

The OKK Foundation was established in 2002 to expand philanthropic programs and support area youth in pursuing their goals

The chapter received the Best of Reston award from Cornerstones and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce in 2019, and was named Small Chapter of the Year by the national Omega Psi Phi organization
