Graduated from George Wythe High School in Wytheville in 1961 and was part of the first graduating class from Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1964

Served as a registered nurse at VCU Health's pediatric unit, Richmond Memorial Hospital's obstetrics and gynecology floor, and Henrico Doctors' Hospital

Active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Richmond, where she served as chair and team leader of the altar guild and supported charitable outreach initiatives

The General Assembly directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy of this resolution to her family as an expression of respect for her memory
