Under his leadership, the organization grew to serve more than 24,000 students annually across 42 schools, with trained site coordinators placed directly in schools

Fitrer previously served Richmond Public Schools as a teacher, coach, and administrator before leading Communities In Schools of Richmond

The resolution commends his work removing barriers to student success and mentoring hundreds of young professionals in youth services
