Originally incorporated in 1999 as Kuumba Community Health and Wellness Center, the organization received its first federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration that same year and was renamed New Horizons Healthcare in 2007

Currently operates from a 32,000 square foot facility with more than 80 employees, offering family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, dentistry, an on-site pharmacy, and televisits

Serves more than 10,000 patients annually, accepting both insured and uninsured patients with a sliding fee discount program based on ability to pay

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy of the resolution to New Horizons Healthcare
