Served over 28 years in fire and emergency services, retiring as a lieutenant from Chesterfield County Fire and Emergency Medical Services in 2024

Began his volunteer service in 1984 with Gasburg Volunteer Fire Department and joined Central Rescue Squad in 1985, eventually serving as squad president

Worked 20 years as an adjunct fire instructor and earned numerous awards for fire safety education and public service

Survived by his wife Sandra, four children (Adam, Stephanie, Brittany, and Timothy), and his mother Louise
