Commends the Western Virginia Emergency Medical Services Council, Inc., on its 50th anniversary, having been incorporated in 1975 to obtain federal funding for community-based EMS agencies

The nonprofit organization supports emergency medical services systems across 18 jurisdictions in western Virginia, including 6 cities and 12 counties, serving approximately 640,000 residents

The Council develops and implements regional EMS delivery systems, maintains efficient emergency medical care delivery, and has diversified training programs and protocols to respond to evolving healthcare challenges

The General Assembly directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the organization
