Commends the Masons' Hall Historic Preservation Foundation for preserving Masons' Hall in Richmond's Shockoe Bottom at 1807 East Franklin Street

Masons' Hall cornerstone was laid on October 12, 1785, by Richmond Lodge No. 3, just two months after they laid the Virginia State Capitol cornerstone

Construction was led by Edmund Randolph (Governor of Virginia, first U.S. Attorney General) and John Marshall (future Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court)

Masons' Hall is one of only six remaining 18th century buildings in Richmond and is listed on both the Virginia Landmarks Register and National Register of Historic Places

Richmond Randolph Lodge No. 19 was chartered in Masons' Hall on October 29, 1787, and has met there continuously since then
