Commends Maritza Piñero on her retirement after 25 years of service to the Town of Leesburg, where she worked as benefits administrator in the Human Resources Department

Piñero earned a bachelor's degree from Universidad de Puerto Rico and previously served as human resources director for the Municipality of Ceiba, Puerto Rico

Joined the Town of Leesburg in 2000 as a personnel analyst before becoming benefits administrator, overseeing employee benefits for the town's workforce

During her tenure, helped the town accommodate workforce growth from 150 to more than 400 employees

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to Piñero
