Commends Patrick Henry's Scotchtown in Hanover County on the 250th anniversary of Patrick Henry's election as Virginia's first post-colonial governor in 1776

Patrick Henry purchased Scotchtown in 1771 and lived there during the early American Revolution, delivering his famous "Give me liberty or give me death!" speech at St. John's Church in Richmond in 1775

Scotchtown served as Virginia's first executive mansion after Henry was inaugurated as governor on June 29, 1776

Preservation Virginia acquired Scotchtown in 1958, and it was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy of the resolution to Preservation Virginia recognizing its preservation efforts
