Commends Linda D. Meloy, M.D., a pediatrician and professor of pediatrics with VCU Health System, for her career of service to young patients and families in Virginia.

Dr. Meloy earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and served six years as pediatrician for the Crater Health District, providing care to underserved families in the Petersburg area.

Currently serves as medical director of the VCU Medical Center's newborn nursery and has conducted research on vaccines and newborn jaundice.

Participated in medical mission trips to Russia, Ukraine, India, Estonia, Guatemala, and Romania to provide pediatric care to families with limited access.

Coordinates the annual "Pediatrics at the Beach" continuing medical education conference in Virginia Beach for fellow pediatricians.
