Virginia House of Delegates commends Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater Fredericksburg for nearly 60 years of community service through one-to-one youth mentoring programs

Organization was founded in 1967 as Rappahannock Big Brothers by Reverend Thomas G. Faulkner and added a Big Sisters chapter in 1974, becoming the first combined Big Brothers Big Sisters program in Virginia

Service area covers the City of Fredericksburg and Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline Counties; rebranded to current name in 2018

Organization has matched hundreds of children with adult mentors through its core program and various after-school initiatives

Resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy to the organization in recognition of its contributions
