The Third District is home to the fraternity's original Alpha Chapter at Howard University (founded 1911) and Lambda Omega Chapter in Norfolk, one of the oldest graduate chapters

Members provide tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships annually and run youth mentoring programs including the Youth Academy and Fatherhood Initiative

The fraternity addresses community needs through Conflict Resolution initiatives and mentoring programs serving homeless men

Resolution directs the Clerk to present a copy to District Representative Shawn R. Lacey recognizing the organization's service and community leadership
