Veronica Prince, deputy city clerk of Falls Church, is commended for more than 25 years of service to the city, beginning in 2000 in Human Resources and becoming deputy city clerk in 2007

She serves as the main point of contact for staff liaisons to 21 advisory boards and commissions and manages the city council's Appointments Committee processes

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she coordinated and tracked more than 500 virtual board and commission meetings while ensuring state law compliance and public accessibility

Named City of Falls Church Employee of the Year in 2021 and helped establish the city's first public meeting assistant position to improve transparency

She served as acting city clerk in 2014 and assisted with the city council's temporary relocation to the Senior Center in 2018
