Edward A. Trott, Jr., a Falls Church, Virginia resident and public servant, died on January 6, 2026, and is honored through this House Resolution introduced by Delegate Simon on February 19, 2026.

Trott served 28 years as deputy registrar in the City of Falls Church Office of Elections, where he was recognized for ensuring fair and accurate elections.

A graduate of Gonzaga College High School and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Trott was known for his professionalism, reliability, and dedication to public service.

Trott is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanne, and six children: Barry, Mary, Judith, Anthony, Matthew, and Emily, along with their families.

The House of Delegates directs the Clerk to present a copy of this resolution to the Trott family as an expression of respect for his memory.
