Commends Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg on its 70th anniversary of service to the community

Founded on June 17, 1956, by Jerry Falwell, Sr. with 35 members; congregation has grown to more than 24,200 members today

Church founded Lynchburg Christian Academy in 1967 and Lynchburg Baptist College in 1971, now known as Liberty Christian Academy and Liberty University

Currently led by Jonathan Falwell, who succeeded his father Jerry Falwell, Sr. following his death in 2007

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the church
