Virginia High School Democrats (VAHSD), established in 1932, is the oldest state chapter of the High School Democrats of America with more than 40 chapters and 700 members across Virginia

The current executive board, led by chair Jack George from Henrico High School, organized more than 20 voter outreach events resulting in over 16,000 voter contacts and registered thousands of high school students to vote

The organization coordinated more than 30 high school campaign internship opportunities and lobbied more than 100 legislative offices on youth-focused legislation

On February 16, 2026, VAHSD held its first Leaders of Today Summit in Richmond to engage students with elected officials and community leaders

The House of Delegates commends the organization and directs the Clerk to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to VAHSD
