Virginia House Resolution commending the Chatham Volunteer Fire Department for more than 130 years of emergency services to the Chatham community

The department moved to its current location in 2007 after operating from several locations, with facilities designed to meet growing community needs

Equipment has been continually updated since acquiring its first apparatus, a 1935 open cab Ford pumper truck with a 350-gallon booster tank

The department participates in community traditions including the annual July 4th parade and Christmas parade, and supports various local causes

Currently led by Fire Chief Bobby Higgins; the resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy to the department
